John Prescott visit to Milton Keynes – 20th Aug 2004
Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott visited Milton Keynes on 20 Aug 2004 to look at the social housing development and meet six young students from Milton Keynes College who are receiving practical construction training through Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association and Avebury International.

Westcroft is one of the 248 homes currently being built for key workers using WAVE – and off-site manufacturing system.


Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Associations Chief Executive said: “It’s been immensely satisfying to see this project acknowledged by the Deputy Prime Minister.




“Working with our partners Avebury International, English Partnerships, the Housing Corporation and Milton Keynes College, we’ve been able to address the shortfall in affordable housing and the lack of skilled construction workers.”
